Swearing-in Pagne!

We got our pagne, the traditional African fabric, for swearing-in. Swearing-in is the ceremony where all the other trainees here, our stage, and us will swear in as Peace Corps Volunteers. Our ceremony is on August 16, and we will all go our to our own respective posts on the 17. We are all very excited and anxious for it to be August 16, at this point mostly because we will be out of Bafia and able to start our personal chapters of our Peace Corps experience.
Tradition has it that each stage chooses a pagne and creates their own outfit out of that fabric. Our stage chose pagne in 3 different colors, all of the same pattern. Here is the color that we chose…
